Murder Suspect to Plead Insanity by Caffeine

(AP)  A Kentucky man accused of strangling his wife is poised to claim excessive caffeine from sodas, energy drinks and diet pills left him so mentally unstable he couldn't have knowingly killed his wife, his lawyer has notified a court.

Prince Charles Eavesdrops on Tourists, Speaks to Plants

 

If anyone visiting Prince Charles' home had opened the right door at just the right time, they may have been greeted with an unusual sight: the Prince of Wales laying face flat on the floor, eyes closed and ears perked in concentration.

He was, of course, trying to eavesdrop on some of the 30,000 annual tourists who pay 15 pounds each to tour his 900-acre royal estate in Gloucestershire...

"I happily talk to the plants and trees, and listen to them. I think it's absolutely crucial," the prince says. "Everything I've done here, it's like almost with your children. Every tree has a meaning for me..."

Three's Company!


Weird dream's by Vincenzo.

I (Vincenzo) had a dream that you, me, Swissy and Bret Favre were in the Three's Company apartment and Mr. Roper told me I was a lucky guy.

I, Cathy, said two things:

"Mr Roper said that as you were unloading a trailer full of food implements that you expect me and Swissy to use while we cook for YOU!"
"Bret Favre was there as a sign that the Vikings are going to defeat the Cowboys again this year and Swissy and I will score some more cookies from you this year!"

Later, it occurred to me to wonder why Swissy's hubby and kids were not in Vincenzo's dream and that I bet Mr. Roper looked like Ray.

I also just want to see what visuals Vincenzo will come up with for this!

Clint Eastwood Tops Obama For "Coolest Man in America"

(MSN)- Esquire magazine surveyed both 20-year-old and 50-year-old men, asking them: Whom do you consider the coolest man in America?
Both groups found Clint Eastwood to be the coolest American man, with the entertainer getting 26 percent of the twenty-something vote and 55 percent of the 50-year-olds votes. Coming in second in the cool-guy poll was President Barack Obama, while actor George Clooney settled in at third place. ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson got the lowest score, chosen only by 3 percent of the 20-year-olds and a mere 1 percent of the 50-year-olds.
When asked, “Who is the best role model for young men in America today?”, 41 percent of 20-year-old men said Obama and 32 percent of 50-year-olds agreed. Clooney got 13 percent of the votes for both age groups, and NFL quarterback Tom Brady got 10 percent of the votes from the 20-year-olds.
And don't mess with his coffee.

Time to Bake Wookiee Cookies


Whip up some yummy Wookiee cookies! Even Chewbacca can't resist chocolate chips. Ask an adult to help you cook up a few batches to eat or give as gifts...

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup unsalted butter (room temp)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


INSTRUCTIONS: 

1. Ask an adult to pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees Farenheit.

2. Put the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Stir with the wooden spoon until well mixed. Set aside.

3. Put the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a bowl and mix until creamy with the wooden spoon.

Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the flour mixture and stir until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips.

4. Scoop up a rounded tablespoon full of dough and drop onto a baking sheet. Repeat until you have used up all the dough. Be sure to leave about 1 inch between the cookies because they spread as they bake.

5. Using pot holders, have an adult put the baking sheets in the oven. Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes.

6. Again, using pot holders, have an adult remove the baking sheets from the oven. Lift the cookies from the baking sheets with a spatula, and place on colling racks. Let cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Sauerkraut explosion prompts quarantine

Twenty-four students and four staff members at a central B.C. high school were briefly quarantined after a can of sauerkraut exploded Friday in a food science class.

The fire department, a hazardous materials unit and RCMP were called to Kelly Road Secondary School in Prince George at about 2 p.m. PT.

RCMP Const. Lesley Smith said school officials were concerned about a possible botulism outbreak after the contents of a years-old can of pickled cabbage splattered on students.

Officials later determined there was no cause for alarm.

The students briefly returned to their classes, then were dismissed early.
